What is Headshots For Good and who is the photographer?
Hi there! I’m Hieu Tran. Headshots For Good helps provide a pro bono headshot to people who are 1) unemployed and 2) actively searching for a job in the San Francisco Bay Area. Applicants must meet both criteria in order to be considered. Selected applicants will receive the opportunity to take a professional headshot for job websites, resumes, and social media.
Will my headshot really be pro bono?
Yes! If you are selected, the photo session and one edited photo are complimentary.
How do I apply for Headshots For Good?
Please submit an application by filling out the form on this page. Be sure to hit “Send Application.”
What will the photo session be like?
The photo sessions will be scheduled after Shelter-in-Place ends in the Bay Area. The session will last about 10-20 minutes at my photo studio or an on-site location in San Francisco. More details will be provided to the selected applicants.
Why are you helping people who are unemployed?
In April 2020, COVID-19 left 20.5 million people unemployed and I want to help lower that number in any way I can. I want to help those who are looking for a job to be able to support their families or get back on their feet.
When will I hear back about my application?
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and selected applicants will be notified on the 1st of every month. This is an on-going initiative to help as many people as I can.
Will the photoshoot follow safety protocols for COVID-19?
Of course! Safety protocols will be provided to the selected applicants.
